When the soul detaches from that infinite, divine circle where time and space do not exist, and descends into the rigid, angular, and bounded ‘square’ world of the earth, it falls into a profound silence. The very moment it dons this temporary garment woven of flesh and bone, it becomes a stranger. It is precisely here that the primary and most profound tremor of human existence begins: being present here, yet never feeling of this place.
For many, the world is a coarse and clamorous arena consumed by ambitions, wherein one gets lost. Those who refuse to play by the rules of this arena—those who surrender their hearts to the grudges and obsessions of the past, or to the comparison-laden mirrors of others—eventually perceive themselves as prisoners in this world. Battering the bars, attempting to alter the system, or fighting against those coarse energies merely leaves our hands bloodied. Yet, the world is not a prison; it is a temporary academy designed to blunt the sharp edges of the soul and to refine it from rawness into its true essence.
To be in the world but not of the world does not imply evading earthly responsibilities to hide behind a mystical illusion. True wisdom manifests in fulfilling one’s earthly duties with absolute devotion, precision, and love, much like a disciplined ritual of worship. It entails consuming one’s sustenance, dedicating oneself to study, nurturing the flowers, tending meticulously to the body—that transient abode of the soul—and sitting at the desk each day to transcribe words onto paper with unwavering discipline. A soul that disregards the laws of the material world (the square) cannot anchor itself in this realm and is bound to drift. Nevertheless, the ultimate secret lies precisely here: while executing daily chores seamlessly like a flowing stream, one must keep the heart, vision, and soul anchored to that higher circle, namely the Source. It requires perceiving the theater of the world, its roles, and its transient crises, without blindly adhering to those roles. No matter how immense the crises, obsessions, or injustices that swirl outside, it demands remaining resilient like a river, gliding around those boulders, and continuing to flow within one’s own channel.
We did not come here to cleanse the karmas of others, to salvage our parents, or to conform to the coarse matrices of this world. We came here to awaken those divine, ancient genetic codes within us during our tenure in this temporary cell, and to depart having left behind only beauty and healing, without causing harm to the earth. Your body may remain within the confines (the square) of this dense world; yet, your mind and your pen are your singular gateway opening into eternity (the circle). Remain in the world, fulfill your obligations, but never forget: you are in this world, but you do not belong to it.
